It’s from Bhutan we now depart

Black-necked cranes in Bhutan

Wonderful memories and a heavy heart.
Valleys and mountains have been our home.
Thanks to our guide we weren’t alone.

Stupas, Temples, forts and flags
A 4 x 4 to carry our bags,
The divine mad man on his quest
Fertility of women his sole interest

At the Gangey temple, a heavenly bird
Circles once then twice and then a Third
Please please Black necked crane
We hope and pray you’ll return again

On and on with our back packs
We saw the goats, the Takin and the yaks.
The prayer flags and wheels that turned
In the hot stone baths our bodies burned.

Two rivers flowed and became as one
Male and female, method and wisdom
The cow she looked but did not cross.
Happy to be where she was.

To the tigers lair on our last day
Yenten up front leading the way.
The twist and turns on our uphill path
The view getting closer, still time for a laugh

A sound of water from the crystal fall’s
As Heard by the tigress within these granite walls.

Her heavy load will change Bhutan.
This special bhuda, this enlightened man.
Tibet he traveled from his home
Slight of hand when throwing the stone

Bhutan what I say to you
is Kadrinche and Kuzoo
